As stated previously (sorry for the long wait for those that were interested!), I am helping my father put up his custom cue collection for sale.

Anywho, we want the cues to do the talking, so if you have ANY questions, please feel free to ask here in this thread, or PM me and I will try to reply and accurately as possible. If you would like close up pictures or see something that can help your decision with a new picture, I'll try my best to get you new pictures asap. Feel free to email me if you prefer: MIDWESTREPPER15(AT)YAHOO.COM

PLEASE NOTE - Cash offers only! Local pickup/cash (CHICAGO AREA) is a huge plus and prices could be better negotiated. IF you prefer paypal/wire transfer/money, you will have to pay the appropriate fee + these cues are not to ship until all money has cleared and have cash in hand. Shipping will be priority, carefully packaged and shipped with insurance, and confirmation, paid for by the buyer.

I spoke with Marcus (FAST_N_LOOSE) and he will be handling the escrow service if the buyer chooses to.

All offers will be considered, but please try not to bust his (cue) balls. My father has been out of the market for a few years now and we tried to price accordingly. Will definitely agree to an escrow service is that helps seal a deal.

Ps- if anyone can provide any further details about these cues, please feel free to chime in and help out!

Thank you for looking!!!

Bill McDaniel $OLD
Not too much known about these 2 McDaniels, but the detail and work that went into these cues speaks for itself. Lots of inlays.

Mike Massey by Meucci $2950
This is my dad’s personal and favorite cue. He had it refinished AND wrapped lizard in 2003 by Paul Mottey. Very solid, hard hitting cue. To the best of his knowledge the cue was made in the early 70’s.

AE Cues $2450
This is actually my personal favorites of all his cues. I just think this one really pops and stands out. This cue was bought new from the maker at the Super Billiards Expo in 2002.

Dale Perry $800 OBO
Lots of rare snakewood, ebony wood points. Magnificent cue!

Mike Bender $OLD

Maple forearm, birdseye, tight and loose, curls (some spots look quilted), 5 ebony points with 4 veneers (maple, baby blue, med. brown, then ebony) Was “told” he considers veneers as points. Lots of his standard silver rectangled checked rings. Comes with 13mm ivory ferrule shaft, 13mm linen/fiber ferrule shaft, and a 12.5mm ivory (cracked) ferrule shaft. It does not affect the hit of the cue that my dad can tell (seriously folks!). There is a small “air bubble” in the butt and also a small hairline scratch at the very bottom of one of the points. It appears to be light enough to buff out, but had to mention. Please feel free to ask any questions or request more pictures.

What's the best u can do with the Dale perry? I see new ones selling for only a couple hundred on ebay, so I'm wondering why this one is so high?
K thanks,
Tim

Wow, you're right. Thats sad indeed tho, my father paid $1900 about 10 years ago. Back in the day, it was worth that type of money b/c of the inlays, materials etc. Not sure how popular snakewood is, but this cue has a lot of it.

Anways, thanks for the heads up. PM sent.

No, that's not why. When Dale first started, he made decent cues and sold them thru resellers. They were retailing for $700-2K.

The one day Dale decides to sell direct on Ebay, and his prices plummeted. He makes 50 of the same cue with extremely minor differences - like one veneer color - then calls them all "DP 1/1".

Since he has sold hundreds on Ebay for $2-500, that's what his cues are worth now. NEW. The secondary market does not, and should not, place a premium on his pre-Ebay days.

Different woods, CNC inlays, etc really won't impact the resale value of a DP nowadays.

You are not the first collector to be burned by this!

Hey, really appreciate the information! Just want to be clear, that no matter the material/build date, the fact that flood the market all his new cues around 200-500, that means basically ALL his cues are worth that now? No biggy, just want to make sure.

Thanks again!

Lets hear some offers! Would definitely consider and escrow serivice if that helps with sealing a deal.
