about the TS - it has the correct points/ring work/etc to be an '83 but the logo in the butt cap is not right - was it sent back for a refinish and new butt cap?

Good catch. With the more modern logo it might be worth more!

I have a plane Jane with the same rings above the butt sleeve and the TS is indeed smaller.

Yeah you're right! Good catch...

My dad definitely never had it refinished or any work done to it. It was said when he bought it, that it was on the road with a famous player "undisclosed name" for many, many years. So its possible it was refinished before he bought it. I wonder what the story is on it.....!
 
I spoke with Marcus (FAST_N_LOOSE) and he will be handling the escrow service if the buyer chooses to.
