Dont want to sell this cue but need $$ :(
Very rare cues and in a real piece of work!!

Can get a LOA if needed from Pat and Bert.

Over 20 years old(cue was brought 20yrs ago by my friend unknown of the year it was built)
BRAND NEW.Never been chalked
Black Ebony with Ivory

2 shafts 13mm,13.1mm (both roll perfectly straight of course)

Sorry for the ambiguity. Just wondering who would be the person to have a Schraeger sent to in order to have it authenticated.
 
I may be wrong and I hope that I am, but there are too many things that look "wrong" to me on this cue.

I pulled out 5 of my Schragers and compared them to the pics posted here.

Bert has told me that a long while back, someone got their hands on his "By Schrager" template and that there are fake Schragers floating around.

Like I said, I hope I am wrong. I am NOT trying to kill someone's for sale thread. Just looking out for AZ'ers.

Pics to be sent to Bert and Pat tomorrow.

Hehe i am positive you are wrong but we can put our mind to rest 2moro!thanks for the heads up..wow i have never herd of a fake schrager.

I also hope that I am wrong, as that is a very nice looking cue.

I should hear back from Pat or Bert today.

The good news is that if Bert says that he did make the cue, the value will be much higher and I can also get you a LOA for the cue.

I have his ph. # he and Pat would do that for you. I purchased one of his cues on ebay they thought it was a Mcdermott and I knew it was a Schrager Cue he gave me a letter of authenticity.

I'm the current owner of the Schrager that Angel had.

I just spoke with Pat and she is certain that the cue pictured is indeed a Schrager cue. She does't recognize the rings because Bert made those, not her. She does remember using the points with the "wings" as she called them at the bottom.

Also, the oval window is more pointed then the ones on my Schragers and Pat stated that some of the ovals, 20-25 years ago were more pointed.

I will double check with Bert and if he agrees with Pat (he was napping when I spoke with Pat) that it is a Schrager, I will ask them for a LOA for the current owner.

The template that Bert used with the Pantograph to put his "By Schrager" on his cues was loaned out to a freind of Berts' way back when. A PI cue maker named Reyes got his hands on it and started to make fake Schragers. Bert sent him letters threatening a laswuit and that was the last of it.

This is straight from Berts mouth!!

That's interesting. Bert, from California, loaned his signature template to a friend and it ends up in the Philippines? In the first place, why was it loaned to a friend?

I'm Edwin Reyes and I want to know if he's referring to me or another Reyes. If he's referring to me then he probably doesn't know that my cues fetch higher prices, than his cues, in my main market. Is he jealous or something if he has heard.

If it was I that he's referring to then this statement and post on making "fake Schragers" and "letters threatening a lawsuit" impacts my reputation negatively and thus a slander directed at me and now libelous due to it being posted.

Here's something straight from Edwin's mouth "Repaired Schragers? YES. FAKE Shragers? NO! And now I'm willing to persue this. Slander from Bert Schrager and libel from you.

I did not state that the template was obtained by you. I only repeated what I was told by Bert. Are you the one and only "reyes" who makes cues in the PI?? If so, I will forward Bert and Pats home number to you and you can call them directly yourself to work out the particulars.

I did not mean to impune you in any way, shape or form. I don't know you!!

I also don't know all the particulars regarding how the template got out of Bert's hands.

I will persue obtaining an LOA for the owner and I apologize for jumping in on his thread.

"loaned to a friend" should have raised a red flag concerning that statement. I just don't see a reason for him to do that as that's like giving out ones financial information.

Bert and I are exclusively distributed in Japan by the same dealer. I've notified the Dealer and he will talk to Bert and Pat about this nonsense.

On Another note......I love your cues Edwin and i use your shaft currently and love it!!!Thanks for making such good playing cues..
