In the linked thread, you pointed out that there is a hole in the bottom of the case and that it was there when you got the case.
I thought I'd just point out that the hole is not a flaw in the case or something that happened after it was manufactured. The hole is in all of the Hager 1x2 cases like this -- the hole goes all the way through the case and is separate from the portions of the case with the tubes for the butt and shafts.
Take off the lid completely, including pulling out the red cable that "tethers" the lid to the case. Then raise the top of the case to your eye with the bottom pointed at a light source. Look into the hole where the lid knob is screwed down and you'll be able to look all the way through the case. It's just the way the case is manufactured, not a flaw.
Hope that helps. I think the Hager cases are terrific. Too bad they are no longer being produced.

Thank you for the clarification. I have always wondered why there was a hole on the bottom and whether it was a defect or not. With the hole explained, this case is practically brand new. There was a cue in there for the first week I bought it just to see how well it protected.
