Looks to be original other than the refinish and possibly new buttplate...
Nice looking cue. Good luck with a sale.

not converted, all origonal from a cue that was in great shape to start with.

Do you mean this cue was born a 2 piece cue? It wasn't a one piece that was converted to a 2 piece? Please excuse my ignorance.I don't know a lot about Titlist cues.Thanks.BTW,it's a nice looking old school classic, and good luck with the sale.

Its actually a willie hoppe professional, basically a titlist blank that came from the brunswick factory as a two piece. kind of like the true balance was the full splice house cue without veneers I think the keen shot or the high run were the two piece version of that. Back then if brunswick made a one piece house cue they would also make a two piece as well with the same blanks, hit both sides of the market. Sell to the rooms a one piece cue, and sell to the players a two piece cue, plus they sold all the tables to the rooms, they were marketing geniuses back then.
By the way, awsome looking willie hoppe:grin:

In my research I think Brunswick made the Titlist which is a 1 piece with 4 veneers, and the Willie Hoppe Professional, which was born a 2 piece cue with identical veneers.

hoppe professional

Thanks for the input. Yes it was made as a two pice cue. The ttlist cue and its role in the history of american cues is an intrestng story. Here are a few pictures of one of my other titlist, an origonal factory blank.

Beautiful restore by Scot. He does great work. I would love to have it but I just bought a Rauenzahn Titlist conversion and a 50's original Hoppe Pro.

GLWS on a beautiful cue.

titlist blank

Unless someone made me an offer I could not refuse, I will keep the blank. Not many out there and would like to preserve it rather than seeing it made into a playing cue
