Up on the block is a Meucci 95-19 in VERY NEAR mint condition, with both original shafts.
This is a beautiful cue, from an era when Meucci was sponsor to most of the top professional players..... guys like Efren, Buddy Hall , Nick Varner, King James Rempe, Kim Davenport, Reed Pierce and on and on. There was still considerable quality to Meucci cues, and the playability from that era was great also.
Specs:
This cue is a nicely figured bem, 4 short spliced ebony point forearm with maple, black, green, black veneers. With dark green abalone spearhead and dot inlays in the points, and the airplane propeller inlays in the ebony butt sleeve with silver rings. White w/ green speck linen sprayed wrap (sprayed very lightly, you can still feel the linen)
Cue is 58" with either shaft, 12.75mm ferrules and the original Le Pro tips the cue came with.
Butt weighs 15.7oz, the new unused shaft weighs an amazing 4 oz even. The slightly used shaft weighs in at 3.7 oz.
There are only a couple things holding me back from calling it mint. One shaft has been VERY lightly played. One of the silver rings in the butt sleeve has expanded/contracted at one point and raised the finish (you can easily feel the ring, could not get a clear photo). And lastly the finish on the unused shafts' joint collar has become cloudy (from storage? can be seen in the joint picture)
I would definitely rate this cue at least 95%. This cue is over 10 years old in EXCELLENT condition with the shafts straight..... asking $475 shipped obo.
Thanks for looking!
