New unchalked Omen 4-point Gabon ebony into highly figured birdseye with 4 veneers (blk, teal, mahog, nat). IMC- impregnated core forearm. Veneer deco ringset at joint and buttcap. Ivory scalloped diamonds in point and in buttsleeve with dots. Black bison leather wrap. Weighs 19.01 with an 18-5/8" balance point. 13mm shafts with linen melamine ferrules and Triangle tips. All these new imp core omen cues are all very nice. Do they play better than a standard core?
 
Hey Ty, It's Pete's method to use the IMC core because they impart a bit of weight, high tone and help insure straightness for the long haul. I can't say it would be better than a laminated maple core or even a good quality maple core though. Someone would hae to talk to Pete for more info. Thanks for asking.

Nice looking cue. It might be me [avatar] but there is something about bison leather wraps that pique my interest.

Real American Bison leather, oil tanned and lightly embossed. I sell the wraps seperately on my site. One of my more popular wraps with USA cuemakers.
