Introducing a new cuemaker, Chuck Fought, from Harrisburg, PA.

Chuck has been a poolplayer for more than 20 years. Three years ago, his passoin for the game inspired him to purchase a lathe and to start doing some cue repair. A quick study, Chuck examined all of the cues he worked on, how they hit and how they were constructed. The first Fought cue was finished about two years ago. Since his trade was building and installing counter tops and because of the economic slowdown, Chuck has spent much more time creating his cues.

Thus, Fought Cues are now ready for the market.

Starting simply, Chuck has a Bacote and Maple "Sneaky Pete".
It has a wood to wood joint, 3/8-10 Pin.
Ivorine IV ferrule, Le Pro Tip.
Butt weight is 14.8 oz. and the shaft weight is 3.4 oz.
The cue is 59" and the shaft is 13 mm.
All Fought Cues have a 29" Butt and shafts are usually 29 1/2" to 30".

This cue is $210 + Shipping.

Fought Cues

Good question.

I have seen his shop and what he is presently working on and all stages of the cues are built entirely by him.

Thanks for asking.

My first thought was that they were probably Schmelke blanks, but what do I know.

If I could offer suggestions and not being at all critical, more along the line of helpful advice.
Pick a pin and stick with it. Or maybe one type pin for SS jnts. and another for the rest. It's part of creating YOUR style and identity.

Pick-up the finish a bit. I'm seeing 'pore dents' on the surface. Maybe it's a lack of pre-finish sealer or not enough clear-coat. Maybe that's what he's going for, I don't know. Maybe I'm more honest than I need to be.

This is very good work for just 2 yrs. in the building game, seriously.
This guy's doing good work and will only get better.
I'd love to talk to him. Until then, I'll just wish him Good Luck.
& BTW, these cues are unbelievably reasonably priced cues.
I'd have a hard time selling a SP for $210 and make a buck doing it.
