This cue is a very solid hitting cue, Mike Stacey cue. A classic Brunswick Willie Hoppe titlist cue. Its hard to find a wrapless titlist, but this one has points that are almost even. Need money for other cues I have on order so my loss is your gain.
- Butt weighs 15.2 ounces
- Shaft weighs 4.0 ounces and is 13mm
- Brass piloted 5/16 14 joint.
Price drop to 700.00

if mike would have put his big brass pin in it i would be all over it...great cue!!!!!...very low price!

I have no dog in this hunt, and did not sleep in Holiday Inn Express, but I will give a food for thought here.

I think everyone pays WAY too much for either of titlists in ebony or purpleheart (I prefer OAK). I would strongly recommend considering a "tribute" titlist where they are better forearms.

When I could buy titlist for $100-$200, this was a neat cue. I see so many conversion cues built by cuemakers that not premier makers and then they are tough sell for what they have in them. Gus, George, Ernie etc. used them because they were nice looking easy to convert and didnt cost a fortune.

I probably should just keep my mouth shut, but seriously trying to help. IMO if I had an ebony or purpleheart titlist, I would not convert it. IF and only if I could get a top, premier cuemaker to convert it, I would consider it.

I wish you the best of rolls,

Ken

Ken,
I somewhat agree and somewhat disagree. The original Brunswick Titlists were extremely well made, which is why the top cuemakers of the time used them. To get a Titlist now, you get an extremely well made cue whose wood has stabilized for as many as 70 years. In the case of oak or ebony Titlists, you are also getting a rare find!
Ask yourself this, why would someone pay $12,000 for a Balabushka Titlist conversion when you could get a well made modern Tribute made to "Bushka" specs for $1200?
Where I have a problem is...I see a lot of wrapless Titlists popping up, which I find hard to believe are original Titlists, demanding extreme prices by relatively new cuemakers. Maybe I've been collecting Titlist cues too long, but it is getting to be where if I can't see the original Titlist before conversion...I ain't buying it!

With that said, Mike Stacey is NOT one of those cuemakers and he has earned my respect with his conversions!

This cue is a great bargain from a great maker, and I'm sure it has a great hit too!
