I have 4 Collectible Predator shafts for sale. For those who don't know me, I worked for Predator from 1996 to 2003 and was a regular poster on this board for many years (many people on AZ can vouch for me including AZHousepro)
Shaft #1 Was $400, Then $325, Now $300
A one piece Predator shaft. This is the rarest shaft I own and was one of the first Predator shaft prototypes ever made. It was made in Clawson Michigan by Steve Titus once he and Allan McCarty figured out that drilling a hole in the shaft would reduce cueball deflection so this shaft does have the Predator technology but is not spliced (as they hadn't figured out the splicing technique at this point) It also does not have a logo as they hadn't thought up the logo yet either.
It has a 5/16x14 piloted joint with a plain black collar. The tip is a Le Pro. The top of the ferrule is 11.85mm. The shaft is 29" long and it weighs 3.9oz
Shaft #2 Was $375, Then $300, Now $275
Z Shaft Prototype. This is the first Z shaft that was made. It was made in Jacksonville, Florida. This shaft is a 10 piece shaft, the logo is simply the Predator Cat as they had not come up with the Z name yet.
It has a UniLoc joint with a thin collar referred to as the P2 collar. The Tip is an original Moori. The top of the ferrule is 11.35mm. The shaft is 29" long and weighs 3.7oz
Shaft #3 Was $350, Then $275, Now $250-SOLD
A 12 Piece Predator Shaft. If memory serves me, the original 314-6 Predator Cue from the 1996 series sold for $1050 with one shaft or $1250 with two shafts. The first 25 cues made of this model were First Editions and all came with 12 piece shafts so there are 50 of this shaft that were made that I am aware of. This shaft has no logo as it was also a prototype.
It has a 5/16x14 piloted joint with a plain black collar. The tip is a Le Pro. The top of the ferrule is 12.05mm. The shaft is 28" long and weighs 3.6oz. Unlike shafts 1 & 2, this shaft does have some wobble to it, the dial indicator measures it to be 18 thousands out of round.
Shaft #4 Was $350, Then $275, Now $250-SOLD
A 6 Piece Predator Shaft. This shaft is 6 piece as Predator experimented with both 6 and 12 piece shafts before finally settling on 10 piece. It has no logo as it was also a prototype.
It has a 5/16x14 flat faced joint with silver ring. The tip is a Le Pro. The top of the ferrule is a large (for Predator at that time) 12.80mm This shaft as you can imagine does not have much play as the shaft is still 12.8 at the tip despite being almost 20 years old. The shaft is 29" long and weighs 4.0oz
I will sell the shafts individually for the prices listed or will consider a fair offer for someone that wants more than one (or all of them)
Let me know if you have any questions, and if I can find the time, I will take some pictures and put them up also.
Regards,
Shane Sinnott
