FS: Thomas Wayne Cue

We didn't include this in our initial for sale threads b/c my dad could not for the life of him figure out whos cue this was. He had a hunch it was a TW, but didn't have proof. After closer inspection of the cue, we stumbled upon a very hidden signature.... so mystery solved! Anyways, not much is known about the cue. All white/cream you see is ivory (butt, inlays, points), all 3 shafts are made with ivory ferrule tips and are all unchalked. He paid around 4g's awhile back, so obviously he doesn't expect to fetch that now.

***The only thing wrong with the cue is that there is a chip (looks like its just the clear coat, and not actually the material) on the joint, BEFORE the silver ring (silver ring is NOT affected any way). I'm sure this can be easily fixed.

Please let me know if you have any questions I can try to answer or if you would like more pictures.

Thank you for looking.

Well, I can say that I nor my father have ever played it. Can't say for sure if it was used before he bought it, but yes, all 3 shafts are unchalked.

It is easy to tell if a cue is unused or has been played with. Your asking a few thousand dollars and being vague in your description saying, I never played with it, maybe someone did before my father bought it. I doubt if any one would risk buying such a cue.

Hmmmm

Yeah, What he said !!! If you don't know the history, you certainly can't advertise a cue as brand new and unchalked for heavens sake......

And Dad paid $4K but didn't know whose made the cue???

Until you found a "hidden signature" right smack dab on the forearm???

Nothing personal, but this is not adding up at all.......

Agreed....

What doesn't add up here? I am just being up front as I can be. Not trying to screw anyone if that's what you guys think

-the signature is hidden, and we both overlooked it (we expected a signature to be obvious and it wasn't as the picture suggests or what you guys assume). Its between the points, tiny dark font on a dark wood..... If you look in the "ask the cuemaker" forum I have a thread asking people to help identify it. It took a couple days until we literally pulled it out and looked at it carefully under a light. Not hiding anything there...

-As said he bought it a while ago, he's not a material junky as some. He knew he had a Thomas Wayne, but as stated didn't have proof. As you can see he has a nice collection and bought 80% of his cues from a broker/seller (not eBay) mainly for the specific maker and the looks of it. Hence why if you also look at the threads of his cues, most have no mention of exact material or a real descriptive ad. I'm not too good at jazzing up descriptions as you can clearly see. If you see a cue of his with a nice spiffy description, it was copied off the eBay ad that he kept the receipt/details of.... Nothing to hide there either....

-I said unchalked. I never said it was unplayed. Sorry I did not word it correctly. The shafts are indeed unchalked, so how can I not say its "unchalked"...?

I apologize for being ignorant here, but what else do you guys expect???

Ok, now thinking about it, I can certainly understand how an "unchalked" cue could be misunderstood as an "unplayed" cue. I will ask a mod to change that for me. I apologize again for the miswording.

Again if anyone thinks there's any funny business, we would definitely agree to using an escrow service before any transactions....

i will recommend Marcus (FAST_N_LOOSE) to do escrow..refer to the sticky thread in the wanted/for sale forum.

hook up with him and im sure things will move much smoother. some of the big cues are tempting, and the market is picking itself up, good luck with your sales.

I spoke with Marcus (FAST_N_LOOSE) and he will be handling the escrow service if the buyer chooses to.

Please let me know if anyone has any more questions or concerns!

Thanks again for looking!
