Everything gets closely inspected nowadays....it's a different world ever since terrorism hit our shores. The financial risks and potential penalties pretty much dictate that the risks aren't worth the reward. If you can figure out a risk free way to get the cue into the USA, there are bound to be some prospective buyers on the forum that would love to hear about this. I'm one of them.

Are you making the man an offer on his beautiful TS or simply editorializing about importing ivory and the perils therein. Kind of a public service announcement to protect fellow az'ers?

I swear to goodness, I have never seen anything like it before. You come on so many for sale threads and while you think you might be complimenting the item that is for sale, you, invariably, crap on the threads. Do you think bringing up all of the ivory importation/customs considerations is helpful to his sale?

This is about the 5th or 6th time I have brought this same exact thing up to you, the first few, privately by pm, beginning with your chiming in on one of my TS sales threads.

As I have pointed out to you already a half dozen times, I just think you enjoy being chatty.

Please do not come on any of my future 'for sale' threads looking to compliment what I am selling.

Your, what has become an all too predictable, "I would jump all over that cue if it only _______fill in the blank__________________" , while you think it may be helpful, it really is not.

Can't you simply say it's a nice cue, or buy it, or make an offer to buy it, or keep quiet?

This Seller Isn't telling The Facts

I tried buying this cue from this seller...he's not telling the facts....he refuses to ship the cue to the USA withany assurance that if the cue deosn't reach the buyer, he'll refund or even split the loss. WHY? because the seller is afarid the cue "may not maker it past US Customs" and if he had to return the money to the buyer, then he'd be out the cue and the money....the seller's own words.......he wants the buyer to assume 100% of the risk.

Now I think that deserves being disclosed...I could ahve written a posting stating that plain and clear to the readers but I didn't. I saw your posting about please do not leave any negative comments on my listing and to contact you by PM.,,,,got your point....we'll never do business because we rub each other the wrong way....that's okay...we don't need to do any business ort even likie each other....lots of other cue buyers and sellers for either of us to work with....I know cause I just did business with an honest, sincere seller.

This bozo in Germany selling the Scruggs cue may get someone to buy it not knowing that they're at serious risk of losing $2,600 and the seller doesn't care one bit if the cue ever reaches the buyer. In fact, the seller is seriously worried that the cue will be confiscated and that's why he wopn't agree to share the risk in any way.

Now if that's not worth trying to bring to other forum readers attention, Buddy, you have a distorted view of trying to alert other forum members about an obvious land mine that the seller doesn't want anyone to know about. Otherwiser he would have posted his reply on the forum instead of sending me a PM.

You are crapping on this man's thread by underscoring what you feel is a peril in doing business with him.

This is a pattern of behavior with you, publicly detailing what makes a cue for sale undesirable for you (in a seller's thread).

The seller of this TS is apparently making a condition of his sale that he will not assume any of the risk for the cue getting through customs. So, that's his decision, his sale, his condition.

You can either buy it with that assumed risk, or pass on it.

But instead, you feel the incessant need to write paragraphs about it and then calling the seller "this bozo from Germany".

I think this is uncalled for.

Like I said, kindly stay the heck out of any for sale threads that I post up. I know it's gonna be hard as there will be some TS cues. :rolleyes:
