FS: 'TS' Titlist

Nah, I wouldn't want to take your favorite McDermott- LOL and I agree Tony ;)

Thanks to all for the kind comments and shared admiration of this cue...

I pulled it because I was getting some offers that were pretty offensive and from some pretty knowledgeable people...

$2500 - I laughed and thought really?

$1200 - hell, the shafts are almost worth that! how about $2000 for your 8pt TAD then? same thing sir....

So I have decided to keep it.

That's kind of an unfair thing to say about the guys who made offers - after all, you obviously know the value, but are hoping someone else doesn't, and throws a number at you that's well over it. There aren't many here who are that ignorant.

well lets talk $$

I love this cue, but like many here, don't make offers because I don't want to get into a PM auction. If you have a price, please either post or send by PM.

I've heard a few people mention the fact that Tim Scruggs made a few Titlist conversions from pristine blanks - this looks to be one of them. What a beauty.

How much u want 2000? I also have a Schick sleeper sneaky pete that was Billys personal playing cue around shop/Poolhall and another nicer Schick along with many others

to clear up your assumption of my intentions - the price I had in mind was just a little above what the cue sold for new. that price IMO, since I am the owner/seller btw, is between me AND the buyer.

and it's not unfair to say what I said - IT'S MY THREAD, RIGHT? - and seriously? $1200 for this cue? right!~ I consider it an insult. That's my opinion and I am entitled to it...You have the right to your opinion also but feel free to keep that opinion to yourself and not on my for sale thread. Don't like the way I am selling this cue - don't make an offer and don't buy it - I really don't care....

I don't hijack your thread(s) and tell you how to sell your stuff - don't tell me how to sell mine sir....and as a matter of fact and reference, there a couple of sellers on here (or used to be on here) that NEVER post a price or for that matter pictures either - do you hijack their threads also? And for the record I am pretty sure this is only the second time I have posted something "for sale" without a price.

basically, this cue is a 1/1 - there is a big brother cue to it that also had some MOP inlays in it and is a little fancier and there is also little brother cue to it with just the ringwork -- all of them had the same ringwork.

scruggs shafts are worth $1200?

uhm, I have sold new 13mm ivory ferruled - ivory ringwork TS shafts for $300 a piece...

so 4 shafts at $300 a piece = $1200....

so yes, they can be - if you have a cue with shafts that are junk -

certain original shafts are very valuable.

This cue is one of the most beautiful scruggs titlists ive seen. Tim Scruggs sure did know how to do a titlist up right. There is another one that Soldtonight has that ive seen in person and its outstanding like this one.

I think alot of the offers he wrote about were pretty insulting. I mean $1200? cmon thats a ridiculous offer. $2000 is a lowball offer on this cue imo.

I am glad you had fun about my offer, it will be the last time.
Just because you think the cue is worth $4k (or whatever you think it is worth) doesn't actually make it that.

The cue

I think it would have been $3200 with 2 shafts. The other 2 shafts have $250 ringwork unless they are elfron rings.
With Ivory rings this was a $3200 and probably $3700 with the extra shafts.
They might have been made for $500 extra instead of the nornal $600-$700.
That was new. This cue is like new and anything less than 3K is low ball.

Nick :)

I didn't make an offer, but I put the value of that cue at $4K.

Well, I guess I can add one more comment.
I purchased this cue:

A little over a year ago from a well respected forum member.

He had it for sale for I think 4K for quite a while, then went down to 3500,
and accepted my offer which was a little less.
Notice that cue has an ivory joint, ivory joint protectors and about twice
as many inlays as the one for sale (or not for sale) here.
This cue was not for sale for a few days but several weeks at least.
With that in mind there is no way I am going to pay $3k for this one.

the value of any pool stick is what someone is willing to pay for it. nothing more, nothing less.

lets face it, the materials that make up a cue cost what? $200-$300 for a REALLY nice one with inlays and ivory....
