For sale is a well used Andy Gilbert jump/break cue made in 2000. The cue has been used quite a bit and has many dings in the butt of the cue (some small, some not so small). A piece of the plastic butt cap appears to have been broken off and an attempt was made to re-glue it (doesn't look too bad in the picture, but it is worse in real life
). The butt has a small roll to it, but I think most of it is due to the repaired butt cap affecting the roll. The shaft has a very small roll in the center that is about the thickness of a credit card. Shaft is ding free and in otherwise good condition.
If you want a used Gilbert jump/break cue at about half the cost of a new one, continue on.
I spoke to Vicki Gilbert at the Super Billiard Expo about repairing the butt cap and refinishing the entire cue. She said it would cost approx. $150. I never use the cue, so I figured I would price it to where if someone wanted to have it cleaned up to brand new condition, they could do so for less than the cost of a new one.
Specs:
Year Produced: 2000
Length: 58"
Weight: 117g (4.13oz) shaft, 441g (15.56oz) butt Total = 19.69oz Weight is adjustable with a weight bolt.
Shaft Dia: 12.90mm
Wood: Purpleheart butt with birdseye forearm and four purpleheart points
Ferrule: Ivory
Tip: Triangle
Ringwork: Silver rings with alternating ebony and ivory (I think, could be imitation of ivory or maybe even holly, so don't hold me to it being ivory.)
Sold!
No trades please. Payment can be made by Paypal or money order.
