Getnbzy said:I've been using a sledge for a while now and although it jumps great and breaks ok, I hate the sound the tip makes upon contact (sounds/feels like breaking with the top of an old school glass coke bottle. The x-breaker sounds good as far as the tip goes (having more control on the breakshot) but having never seen 1 in person nor hearing any unbiased reviews, I am hesitent to dole out the $350.00 the xtreme site charges + $35.00 shipping??? That seems high as well. Even with the b&b deal your still at almost 3 bills w/ shipping. Guess I'll wait til I hear some opinions.
Dear JR,
It looks like you have some very nice cues in your collection. Is the Tad in the 1000 series?
Since it is a new cue, I understand your concerns whether it is as good as it claims and things like that. If it means anything to you, a lot of professional players were very impressed with the performance of the X Breaker in the World Pool Championship.
I am glad you noticed the sound the tip made in jumping and breaking, if you watch the video on the site, I think that is the biggest difference you will notice when you compare it with videos of other jump break cues. Most people also report that they can jump straighter and have better control with this new Xtreme tip.
About being unbiased, I posted also break and jump videos of regular players on the site. Some of them were just C Players. Some broke well and some didn't; but most of the times the cue ball sat in the middle of the table and the player had a shot on the 1 ball. Most of the players did not buy the X Breaker and they were just trying for fun so the result was quite unbiased in a way.

There will be a booth for the X Breaker in the US Open. It is booth #1. There will be a table right in front of the booth so you are all welcome to try out the cue. I may not be there but you will get all the help you need for sure at the booth regardless

If you have any more question, please do not hestitate to ask me.
