As far as I know Kerry no longer has any wenge old house cue blanks.
This is one rare piece.

I thought the cue looks butt ugly. fortunately for the cue, it hits hell a lot better then it looks.

So if someone likes this kind of look i can tell you this would be the cue to get.

I wonder how does kerry make an ordinary piece of wood hit the same as with all his other cue? Is it the buckhorn joint? could it be the buckhorn ferrule? what?

My guess would be the shaft, ferrule and tip because he has more input/control on these variables when executing a conversion.:)

He has a construction method he calls IFM. You can ask him.
Btw, Wenge is not all that bad in the hit department.

I've had this cue for almost a year, most of the time setting in my storage case. Too heavy for my liking. I still play with it once a while, don't want to give up easily on to getting use to the cue. :) It's really a nice cue!!

Sold to Scorpion recently due to short cash for my new house. I think the only concern for new owner might be the weight. That was the reason i let it go also. If you like heavy cues, you'll be happy with this piece.

Bump for a nice cue!!

is the butt on the fat or skinny side on this cue?

If I might interject Chris.
It shouldn't be more than 1.250" at the bottom.
So the handle shouldn't be much fatter if at all than a Schon or Viking.
Thick jointed though. Gives it a better pop imo.
