Full Circle/Mosconi Cup
Well it's come to this, finally and that's a good thing. Since the sixties, there was very little information to be had on how to improve. During those earlier years the better player would almost NEVER help out another improve their game, unless there was something in it for themselves. Then the Sigel years came, with the chirping (and its acceptance) and mannerisms too the crowds, and the complaining that he got a bad roll. Then came the years after the Sigel years where there were Many talented young good players but the economy and costs and such, kept them gambling and just getting by. Then there came the AZ years, and lots of instructors and teaching aids, but the infrastructure NEVER changed, but the players kept getting better educated more informed and many small semi-pro type events popped up, but the road and gambling years waned. Now we have had different corporate and promoters jump into the pool only to realize, our ''way of play'' is no longer good for the Sport. This current Mosconi drubbing, tho not finished as I type (10-2) seems inevitable and justifiably so. Hopefully our sport will learn from this and TRY to become a sport. Our past is behind us, Jason Shaw and his peers are front and center. Shane McMinn could of easily been our next Jason Shaw, tho it ain't gonna happen, his best years have been misspent along with the others within his herd. The European youth (are at an advantage) they have the Great Snooker players to learn from and look up to. Allison Fisher is a Perfect Example.
