Full splice vs. Half splice Cues

To many other things go into a good hitting cue, and hit is way to subjective, to ever answer your question. I personally like full splice cues, but that is because I like sneaky's. I've had cues that weren't full splice that played ever bit as well and weren't a half splice.

Shaft, ferrule, joint, tip, taper, weight, balance all play into how a cue plays.

I have a full splice sneaky. Assuming both are well made, the answer is no.

The tip, shaft and joint have far more effect on the feel. The splice of the butt is waaaay down on the list.

Thanks for the input... I've asked a couple of reputable cue makers and they seem to agree with everything you said. The joint is the most important part of the cue when attempting to replicate a certain hit or feel. I have only owned full splice cues and I think I'm about to go for a pricey half splice custom...
