I turned 71 yesterday and 1st day on the new 9ft. The son and granddaughter came over and we played some 8-9 ball. The granddaughter (13 yrs old) actually had a good time and kept focused with no running to her cell phone lol. She said she'll be back today lol. Me on the other hand couldn't find a stroke or pocket but that'll come eventually. I did like the snap/sound of my break and making balls playing 8-ball and 9-ball with one 9 off the break. Considering previous health issues I'll take that as a positive getting the racks to explode like the way they did. We'll see what day two brings

Happy Belated Birthday ! Enjoy life to it fullest

Happy Birthday, George! You're a month younger than me. With all the health problems I've had over the past few years (mostly heart/stroke), I am now mostly regulated to staying home and playing against my wife and grandson. That said, time spent with a loving family is time well spent. We are both lucky and blessed.

For the record, although my break and runs are coming fewer and farther apart, I too still have a pretty decent break for an old geezer. Whenever I break a full rack (8-ball), the loud crack hurts my ears. And...I still scatter 'em pretty good.

Have fun. I hope the best for you.

Thanks and the same to you!
