Thought Stephen Hendry's latest video was a good watch. For those that don't follow snooker he's long retired, but has joint most world championship wins (7), now commentates and has his own youtube channel. This video he plays 3 times world snooker champion Mark Williams at hey ball. They are both mates and the banter between them is pretty good. Mark looks pretty decent at Hey Ball for someone that doesn't play. Hendry seems pretty hit and miss at any cue sport these days despite having a claim at being snooker goat, but was good fun match.

Williams has played a bit more Heyball than he lets on. He had a good run at the 2024 Masters.

Hendry never gave Heyball any attention, despite being paid to go over there and play in the early days.
 
Williams is still an active snooker player and has played Heyball fairly recently. Hendry hardly plays anything and appears to have lost the hunger to do so (and he has earned that right big time).

Williams clearly knows the game. He referenced how Chinese players now smash frozen-to-the-rail balls down the rail and into the pocket. This is indeed a recent phenomenon. The only snooker player I can recall making those kind of shots with any degree of regularity (but still not very often) is Judd Trump. It shouldn't (with hindsight - ain't it great?) be a surprise though. American pool balls on a snooker table go in much easier than snooker balls for quite similar shots because they interact with the jaws differently.
 
Hendry called it a Mickey Mouse™ game. He may get a call from Disney.

That's a pretty insular view. There are rules at snooker that make it look goofy (not a Disney reference!) and broken to people who do not know the game and have not played it.
 
I believe they were just playing for fun and yet they were trying and still wanted to win. Go figure.
