Fun with pool room music

My favorite room has two kinds of people: those who like their music loud and us civilized folks. I found a compromise months ago: when the music got too loud, I'd just unplug a speaker or two in the back half of the room.

Last night, I unplugged a speaker in the usual way - and the whole speaker system went silent. :o Bartender flipped out, although the owners said "Don't worry about it."

Seems they'd had a "professional" in to rewire the system just the day before, and he wired everything in series. :D

Lol

Well I guess that professional was saving on wire that is why he put it in series. LOL

This reminds me of a guy who used to go to the local gym. As soon as he got there the first thing he would want to do was turn the tv off. Then he would go around talking to everybody in the place. He couldn't remember my name, always called me buddy. Turned out the poor guy was in early stages of alzheimers. The last time I saw him his daughter brought him to the gym because he couldn't drive anymore and I had to show him how to use all of the machines because he couldn't remember.

I never did figure out what it was about the tv that bothered him so much.
