Yep. Happens all the time. I see lots of unsafe illegal lane splitting and would hate to get involved in an accident. Lawyers abound.
Yep. Splitting lanes. I’ve never quite understood why it’s allowed, even in crazy California. But, just because something is legal, doesn’t mean it’s not stupid.
I‘ve ridden bikes for over 40 years and it’s crap like that that makes so many motorists hate motorcyclists…
Well I think the law as I read in the article only applies to motorcyclist letting them know it's ok to split the lanes. However, cars, trucks etc.. swerve inside the lane or change lanes while a motorcyclist splits the lane is not at fault (unless it's stated on the CA drivers exam). I'm not familiar with CA auto laws.
