ok... so i'm not furious... i'm not even really all that upset... BUT my fury break jump def. cracked below the phenolic tip/ferrule combo.. its about an inch and very noticable.

does anybody know if fury will replace this? kind of a bummer to lose a break cue like that..

and just for the record it happened on a break... and i am NOWHERE near a hard breaker.... you can ask anybody in my league about it... no abuse to the cue or anything, i take top care of all my cues.

How long have you had it? Is it still under warranty (if a warranty was offered)?

I'd contact the folks who made it and find out what the deal is.

Sometimes ...

Cue manufacturers will have a 1 year guarantee, whether stated or not, and will generally fix anything wrong as long as the product has not be abused.

Sometimes, hitting at an angle (tip surface hit the cue at angle or on the edge of tip) will cause cues to splinter or crack.

I have seen quite a few cues being fooled around with, and just tapped at an angle on the floor or table, and they just snap in two. That's why it is important to learn how to take care of your equipment and not mistreat it.

So why would you title your post as you did if you are not furious or upset? That makes absolutely no sense. Most people damage cues because they didn't screw them together all the way. Maybe you just have a screw loose. :p

Maybe you couldve checked their website or called them before you spouted off in the post.

This is the least surprising point of your post---to find out that you are a league player.

um... lets try this....

i made the title 'furious about my fury' because i thought it went well... and was kind of funny to me... which is why the first line of my post was that i'm not actually furious... crazy i know...

i went to furys website, or at least what i think is furys website... but saw no way to contact them... its was just a few fury playing cues and then some links to other sites... so i thought this would be a good source... and assumed somebody with common sense and a little kindness would point me in the right direction.

why is the least surprising part of my post that i'm a league player watchez? does being a league player somehow gauge how well or poorly i play/treat my cues/cut my hair? i only stated that to let people know that i can prove, if needed by fury, that i'm not a HARD breaker. i hope you have a good reason for your league comment...

thanks to most of you, Logan

Common sense I have. Kindness for those twisting words into a lie, I don't. Looks like Jay found your info easy enough. Maybe you could sign up for one of those internet/computer classes at your local community college. And don't forget to put the coaster by the pocket when you are making the 8 ball.

A 'lie'? It was a creative turn of a phrase.

You cite what you have and what you don't have - methinks you should add 'imagination' to the 'don't have' list. :P

I can think of a few other things to add to that list as well.

Are you having a bad day? lighten up. no sense ridiculing.

One more common sense question: if you are NOWHERE near a hard breaker why did you spend your money on a break cue with a special tip specifically for breaking hard? Seems like you might be more interested in cue ball control or simply physically unable to break hard & a different cue would have been better suited for you, in the first place.

Maybe he physically does not know how to break hard so he uses a cue with a phenolic tip to get him a little bit more power.

Or maybe he likes to break at medium speed, but medium speed hit with a phenolic tip will put more power on the ball then a leather tip.

Could be any number of reasons...

You know what I am confused and irritated about.. Is the fact that you didn't just call FURY and ask them.. I mean WTF, John Barton AKA OnePocketChump is a regular poster and in upper management at FURY. So, why didn't you just go that route? Why the negative post?

Here are my thoughts on a phenolic tip;

If your stroke is weak, your power feeble, and your aim is not true, you will still hit the balls harder, by a few or couple miles an hour with a phenolic tip than you would with a hard leather one.

well.. thanks to all those who could tell that this was intended to be a harmless post of me just looking for information...

your right watchez... i probably dont NEED a phonolic... i picked this cue up mostly for resale but it was already used to i decided to go ahead and try it out.. been using it for about a month now... a few days ago it broke...

i checked a site today that i thought to be furys website... i had the wrong site... the correct one was linked in this thread... somebody else game me a phone number for them... and eydie was not so kind enough as to tell me that onepocketchump worked at fury.... this is exactly the kind of information i was looking for.... thanks to those of you who gave it to me kindly...

nowhere in my post did i say the fury b/j sucked, didnt work, or was a piece of crap. i've said nothing positive or negative about it... so please.... get off my case.... i was looking for some info that i thought you all could help with.... some of you did nicely, some of you did not so nicely... and some of you have yet to contribute anything(watchez)

that reminds me watchez... can you give me the airtimes for your matches on espn next?

furious about my fury....sounds negative to me. That, I believe, was your intention. You can back pedal now any way you like saying you were trying to be funny. Reminds me of my 4 year old nephew, when I ask if he was lying....his response is I was just kiddin around. I am sure that Fury is going to do you right. John has posted that he is going to give away $200 a month in product each month to posters on this site.

Let me see, you want to turn this back on me? Interesting....

You make the negative post with bad publicity regarding FURY to begin with, THEN you get offended when I answer you negatively and NOT WITH KINDNESS? WOW!

Why not from the beginning, just ask contact info for FURY instead of posting a very negative thread?

your right... humor should not be allowed on this site at all... i'll start a petition later asking mr wilson to ban all posts that refer to anything pool related in a humorous manner???

furthermore i hereby swear to never use humor in any way for the rest of my life...

give me a break eydie...

i was never upset, i stated that i was never upset and i'm kind of tired of repeating myself... i have the information i needed and i'll post again when i find out what/if fury will help me. of course i'm not saying that in a negative manner though...
