Fury cues?

I have a fury sneaky and an NR series, I love my fury sneaky and switch between that and my G-core McD al the time. The NR is nice but the shaft drives me nuts, after a few games with it, it will get gritty and I have to wipe it down. Also I really like the wood to wood and radial pin on the sneaky. For the money I think there great, I would love a TP series one as well.

If your shaft is getting gritty after a few games, I think you should get it sanded, sealed and waxed.

That should take care of it for you.

Brother If I could afford it I would, Im so broke I can barley afford a happy meal from McDonalds.........and thats without the toy!

Thanks for the tip though

I have the NR-1, if your looking for matching ring work seyberts can do it, or get a partial shaft and have cue maker finish it.

I haven't "played" with one but bought a break jump fury. Sold it a couple weeks later. It had a weird balance I thought. Too much balanced in the rear; couldn't get used to it. Maybe their player cues are different.

Fury NR product line

I never see anyone playing with them ( where i play atleast )
But i seen a couple in the TP series that are nice so...

How do they play?

MRP2k12:

I have a Fury NR-08 (old-style pin) with the stock Irish Linen wrap having been replaced with a Tiger stack leather wrap, and with the tip having been replaced with a Tiger Emerald. This cue is my main player now; I've some really nice players that this Fury ended up replacing in my cue case. (And not just because this cue is "inexpensive" to save wear and tear on much more expensive players -- this Fury really hits great!)

This might not be relevant since you are looking at a higher end cue than I bought (The TP series are >$500 cues).

I purchased a DL-10 as a backup cue - less than $100. No inlays - all overlays, but looks real nice. The joint is stainless steel, which is a bit different for me, as I am used to playing with a wood-to-wood joint in my 25+ year old McD D19.

All in all - I like the cue; hits solid. I primarily play with my McD, but will re-tip this with the same tip material and probably play with it more often.

For the price points of the DL-NR and SP series, they are very good. I would rather play with my $100 Fury sneaky than the $400 Pechauer I used to own.

I had the same problem with the pechauer cues. I have big hands and it felt like I was playing with a pencil. It hit nice but I could never get used to it. Now using a BHQ and an Arnot I had the butt made a little thicker. Hits nice, using a pooldawg milkdud tip which I really like. The BHQ is my breaker and it is hands down the best break cue I have found. The Arnot hits nice but resale is not as good. I have a couple of buddies using fury cues and the one that put one of pooldawg8' milkduds on his is really satisfied. Good luck in your search.
