We got a monthly Ladies tournament going now. First event is Oct 1st. Check the tournament announcement section for more info.

Also got a facebook page set up. Please visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/Future-Cues/254267601271714 and like us to stay updated on tournaments and other events we have planned.

Overall we are 70% done with the remodeling now. Place looks better than I ever imagined. Once it's all done I'll post up plenty of pics for everyone.

Thanks again for everyones support. I've talked to lots of people in this area and everyone has been awesome. I look forward to providing everyone with the best damn pool hall possible.

Got the Ingen tournament software up and running today. Having the brackets broadcasted to the TVs are sweet. Surprised I've never seen any other places in my area using it. I give Ingen an A++ on the design.

Great to hear. That's what I used when I was running tournaments. It is really a fantastic tool. I hope they are lined up out the door!

:thumbup:I am absolutely excited to see that the dates have been posted for the opening. BEAUTIFUL bar by the way, can't wait to see the rest of it in a few weeks. I got a message from CathyJo about the tourney for the ladies and was great to hear. Only concern I think a bunch of us had when we were talking about the tourneys that weekend was if we will be able to finish if they start at 7pm. I know you have worked it all out though so I'm sure it will be great!

Just curious, when are you going to start the signups for the tourneys opening weekend? I would imagine it should fill up pretty fast.

Also, you said something about stick work. I like James Hanshew w/Hanshew Custom Cues in Waco, Great Guy!

Anxiously awaiting the finished product! :D

Hey Tabby!

Glad you like the bar :)

I'll start taking entry's on the 26th, the Monday before the tournaments. That's the day we open the doors. Should be room left on tourney days though as long as you don't show up late. We start at 7pm sharp. Only the first 64 people will be able to sign up for the tournament.

I set up a 64 player bracket on the Ingen software to test it yesterday. On an average race to 4 being 6.5 games, and an average game of 9-ball being 8 minutes, on 12 tables, Ingen says we should finish by 1:30 AM.

If for some reason we run over I'll keep the place open until it's finished so no worries. Just cant serve alcohol after 2. Hopefully that won't be necessary and we can all go home on time :)

Thanks for the tip! I'll try to get ahold of James closer to the opening.

As for the ladies tourney, I'd love to get that going as a monthly event. Spread the word hopefully we can get enough interest to keep it going.

Thanks again for the support. A lot of great people have reached out to me, more than I could have hoped for.

You guys will love the place, its turned out really nice. Awesome tables, quality furniture, fully stocked bar, lots of TVs, Buzztime games, Texas Holdem tables, lounge with big screen and lots of tournament ideas. Top it off with a guy completely dedicated to keeping his customers happy and I'm confident we have the start of something really good here.

I'm always open to suggestions too, so if you think of something I could do to make your experience better please let me know.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

The Diamonds will be in this week. I'll get some pics up as soon as they are installed and leveled!

Uploaded some more pics on Facebook. Be sure to check it out if you want to see how the place is coming along. Link is in my signature.

staff- use family- and lots of young beautiful women

remember sex sells- clothing for all the women ,should be sleek but neat and respectable. Doesn't Tex have the most blonde women in the world. I'm a fan of the daily specials- get those guys established and it will help with the daily nut. I like Jays advice too. glad to see another new place opening!! mark For Future cue repair needs and good prices please try- Koinnkid- here on azb. website is (all about the gameroom-tell him mark sent you for special prices!!

I have bad news :( We will not be opening Sept. 26th as planned due to circumstances beyond our control. I believe that we should be able to open the doors on Thursday the 29th of September. For now I am going to assume the grand opening tournaments on Friday and Saturday (30th & 1st) are still on schedule. I will have more info in a couple days. If for some reason we are delayed further I will immediately post more info here to inform everyone. Again I am very sorry for the unforeseen delay. If I am forced to cancel the tournaments on the 30th & 1st, I will reschedule them for the following weekend (Oct 7th & 8th). Stay posted here for more info, or your welcome to call me at 254-291-2526 to check on opening status. Thanks again for your support, we are working diligently to provide you with the venue in the area.

Thanks Charlie, hope everyone is as understanding as you.

ATTENTION:

Sept 30th & Oct 1st $500 Added Tournaments are Postponed. I found out this morning that the contractors may or may not finish Thursday, apparently they are running into complications that is taking longer than anticipated. It is not fair to our customers to keep them guessing if we will have the tournaments or not, and it definitely would not be fair if I had to cancel them the day before they were supposed to happen. Therefore the tournaments on Sept 30th and Oct 1 are now postponed. I should be able to reschedule both of the $500 added tournaments for the following weekend (Oct 7th & 8th). I will keep everyone updated. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I think it's better this way. I don't want to keep you guys guessing, and I don't want to cancel on you last moment.

I'll post up the new opening info here as soon as I have more information.

Best of luck to you and your new pool hall. It's a long ways from my neck of the woods unfortunately buts its good to hear of a pool hall opening instead of closing.

We are OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

I just want to say first hand that I went here this past saturday and I was extremely impressed! This place is amazing. First class tables, fast friendly staff, very spacious layout, very reasonable prices, state of the art bracket system (very cool), and of course that big a** theater screen! Just hope for more nine foots but I understand that Temple is the APA's holyland and relize you have to cater to the mob. Besides all of that this place is defintley a pool players wet dream. Great job guys!!!
