G-10 glass pin

I see alot of cues using this pin anymore, so what's the big deal about it? I'm really curious to know :thumbup: Does it help balance the cue easier? Is it really stronger than the s/s used before? Does it come in all thread sizes? Does it change the way the cue "hits" or plays? A little knowledge here would be great. Thanks, Jeff
