Pick a winner poll, who do you think will win in the Amway world 9 ball championship in Tapei, coverage is on the home page of this site?My cash would be on Kim but it would be nice to see and American win for once on the WPBA,so pick your winner, and what odds do you think are good for the match?

Too bad they have to play each other because I believe they're good friends. It's my understanding that they roomed together on the road. I'd like to see Seaver win because she's clearly the underdog.

I agree,i always like the underdog,i was rooting for Kim in the 2003 US Open against Korr,i cant believe she blew that nine but there always hangers when your sitting on the rail watching and not playing, but she got her revenge in 2004,shes just a great all around player.I cant remember the last time an American has one on the WPBA,i think it was Jeanette Lee many years ago, but i could be wrong.

I practiced with Jeannie while she was in Miami before she went to Tapei and lemme tell ya she had the tools to win. GY Kim is a great player but you dont make top 8 without talent. Jeannie is the 3/1 underdog on paper...thank god they dont play on paper.

Jeannie is from central Florida and is a sweetheart, so I gotta root for her. I met Ga Young when she first came to the states and she is also a sweetheart, so I gotta root for her, too. Jeannie is the perfect example of how dedication and hard work can pay off; her game has taken off like a rocket in the past couple of years and she's getting tougher and tougher to beat. Wish these two didn't have to face each other right away.

As much as I like to cheer for the underdog it sounds like Kim is on fire and it's gonna take quite a performance to beat her. My heart says cheer for Jeannie my wallet says bet on Kim:D

Yes, they roomed and traveled together. When Ga Young first came to the US she lived with Jeannie at her home. They are still good friends as far as I know. And Jeannie’s been a very good friend of mine for a long time. So, go Jeannie go.

Yes-They are still very good friends. I have seen them play each other 4 times, 3 of them went Hill/hill and Jeannie has only won one. They played a hill/hill for the title in under 30 minutes once in MD. Jeannie has improved since then and has a shot but she will have to play much better than she did vs Jennifer.

Gotta root for the underdog here..GO JEANNIE!

<Uwate is secretly hoping she snaps the tournament so she can come back to Miami all pumped up and starts matching up :p . Sharpshooters has been action dead lately>

Ga Young Kim 7:5 Jeannie Seaver

Yep Jeannie jumped out to a 3-0 lead -Ga Young stewing in her chair-It looked like her hair would catch fire. GYK caught her at 4 i believe, it was tied at 5 and GYK won the last 2 to make it 7-5.

Jeannie scratched on the break at least once or maybe twice and GYK fouled with the bridge (all ball fouls) costing her a game.

Jeannie plans to go 'Shrimping' tonite. For you non asians and as it was explained to me, you go to this place (indoors) where you get something of a tiny fishing rod and a tiny hook and bait and you catch shrimp-then you cook it and eat it or maybe they cook it for you. Anyway it is supposed to be fun and delicious. It is one of GYK's favorite activities.
