No. That box cue isn't Filipino. The Pred shirt pic is from two totally different times.Probably something that was made in the Philippines
I played Ramil in the early 2000s in the Planet Pool circuit, Mid-Atlantic region. That was a Schon box cue, probably custom.Watching an old AccuStats match with Ramil against Efren in '99. Ramil has a very sweet ebony box-cue. Anyone know who made it? Just curious if its a Gina.
It could have a Predator shaft on it no matter who made the butt.In the picture in the article bellow, he is holding that cue and has a Predator logo on his shirt, but I don't remember Predator having such a cue

Wow. Cool.I played Ramil in the early 2000s in the Planet Pool circuit, Mid-Atlantic region. That was a Schon box cue, probably custom.
Yeah, it was a beautiful cue, I'd like to have snapped a few pics of it. Reminded me of an earlier Joss/Gina box cue. But the Schon buttplate and logo were there. I think custom, I've never seen it in a group picture.Wow. Cool.
I wish we could find some good pics of it.
True. but in the video, the ferrule is too long to be a Predator shaft. It could have a Predator shaft on it no matter who made the butt.

I actually didn't look at the shaft or ferrule at all.True. but in the video, the ferrule is too long to be a Predator shaft.
There are other pictures of him with a Predator cue, so maybe by the time of the picture in the article which was taken a couple years later he switched shafts.
That's what W. Prout hinted at. He has a couple in his collection. I knew right away it was no Pred/'Pino cue.I played Ramil in the early 2000s in the Planet Pool circuit, Mid-Atlantic region. That was a Schon box cue, probably custom.
Going by what WW said and what i've been told over on Schon collector FB page i'm pretty certain that it is a Schon. I was shown a pic of a Schon box-cue forearm and it looks just like what's on that video.I have been going through frame by frame on the video, and there is a logo on the butt cap of that cue.
I'm not saying it's not a Schon. I just saw what I saw.
I'll capture some images later, but this is laborious doing this and I need to get on with some other things.
I get it. That's what makes it strange to see a logo on the butt cap.Going by what WW said and what i've been told over on Schon collector FB page i'm pretty certain that it is a Schon. I was shown a pic of a Schon box-cue forearm and it looks just like what's on that video.
I would think that the Schon on the cue would be hard to see as they typically keep their name pretty small but it is a little unique in that the name runs parallel to the butt rather than perpendicular.Going by what WW said and what i've been told over on Schon collector FB page i'm pretty certain that it is a Schon. Its on the Schon FB page. I have no clue how to post it here. Its just a pic of a fore-arm. Not whole cue. I'm going with it being a Schon. I can't make out much on the vid, pretty blurry. I sent Ramil a FB message. See if he reports anything.I get it. That's what makes it strange to see a logo on the butt cap.
I scoured the internet looking for any pictures of this cue and I find nothing.
So, when I have time and patience for it, I am going to capture the best frame from that video I can find with that butt cap in it. At first I was focusing on the forearm and butt sleeve, but then I noticed the butt cap. I had not been looking at it, really looking for the best shot I could get of the other parts.
I had it paused at that point where I saw the logo, went and did some other things, and accidentally closed it. I had not noted the time so I don't know where it was. Really frustrated the heck out of me.
Any chance you can post the picture you were shown?
I can't make out a logo on that vid. You guy's eyes are better than mine.I would think that the Schon on the cue would be hard to see as they typically keep their name pretty small but it is a little unique in that the name runs parallel to the butt rather than perpendicular.
Oh, you would be surprised my friend. According to my wife I'm not only deaf but blind too.I can't make out a logo on that vid. You guy's eyes are better than mine.
