I haven't been gambling long, but I do this and I find it helps to actually build more pressure for small bets/sets. Losing $20 isn't a big deal to me in and of itself, but winning it BACK motivates me, so like you I pretend it's lost at the start.

Without question the people saying this play BETTER than you. It's complete bullshit!

Ask the guys who's telling you this why isn't he playing the best guy in the room(unless he is the best guy in the room) and he'll start mumbling and stuttering.

Btw, I gamble. I just get sick of hearing this nonsense - just being honest.

Lol, true. Tell an A level player that he needs to bet his wallet against a world beater like SVB. Se how that plays out.

This is true. I'm in the horse racing business and I've seen many a ruined life over trying to win a buck.
