Would you rather be hustled, or just played straight up?

I have a question for everyone in here.

Who do you have more respect for? The person that comes up and wants to play you, but doesn't sandbag? He plays you hard ever match even if he knows he could sandbag and take more of your money.

Or do you have more respect for the person that comes in and starts off betting low only to hustle you out of your whole wad by the end of the night?

The reason I ask is that if I were at a level that I could win big money I would just play people for whatever they wanted to play for. I wouldn't have this big mental strategy for taking all their money and for hustling them. Yea I like to win money off of people, but I love the game so much that I just want to play. To me the money is just icing on the cake.

I had a guy try to hustle me a few nights back. Granted it was all chump change, but I would have rather him just play me straight up instead of trying to hustle me. Lucky for me that his hustle didn't work and I was in stroke that night! LOL

Hustlers are nothing more than con men. I have no respect for con men. If you play full speed for your cash, no matter the opponent, then I respect you. I think the most respected players are the ones that play just that way.

That is exactly how I feel. Thanks for putting the words in my mouth correctly! LOL

I couldn't have said it better myself, so I appreciate you posting that.

What you see is what you get

I always play my best. I couldn't hide my game if I tried. Even when playing the wife or relatives. It's get'em down and kick hard!!

I don't know about kicking them, but I do try hard to play my best every time I am at the table.
