got a Gandy and know that it plays great and it cost some bucks a few years back but i cant find a thing on the brand. websites or word of mouth anyone?

Gandy pool tables were manufactured in Macon Georgia for decades. Sometime in the past 15-20 years (iirc), the company either sold out, or went out of business. They used to be pretty solid tables, but occasionally they developed a very slight wobble in the frame (enough to feel the table move when you leaned on it). Brunswick Gold Crowns weighed more, and didn't do that. Someone here will have better infomation.

Gandy went out of business but a lot of there stock was bought by some company and some of the old Gandy emplyees work there. Just can't remember the company (American Heritage maybe???). This company makes tables but unfortunately NOT the old commercial Gandy tables.

When Gandy went under some of the workers formed American Heirloom Products. They went out of business a couple years ago. Then one of there employees kept the designs ,website, network of installers and opened his company called American Custom Pool Tables. His website and number are no longer working so I guess he has called it quits too. It is a shame because they made very solid furniture tables.

I'd say it's a double shame cause if any of the companies had kept making and improving the Big G they'd probably still be in business.

Those 2x's are most likely solid mahogany too. This company carries a good number of parts for the Gandys. You can probably guess I have one too.

A pool room near where i used to play had a room full of them...

Decent tables but I prefer the A.E. Schmidt tables myself...
