GC-1 RAIL CALIBRATION question

I'm going to explain this one more time, there's only ONE difference between a GC1 and a GC2....the GC2 was only offered in a painted Rosewood stained finish...that's it. All the changes in the GC2 that you all think makes it a 2....came out on the GC1 first, including the inserted capture nuts in the rails. Every feature on the 2.....came out on the 1 first....the ONE and ONLY difference....is the PAINTED ROSEWOOD STAND RAIL BLINDS.

Glenn, weren't the plastic skirts modified to a "winglet" design (as opposed to full perimeter wrapping) on the GCII? One thing stands for certain: If your GC was painted in one the original pastel colors, it's a GCI.

So it sounds like more than anything Brunswick changed the model from GCI to GCII to try to sell new tables rather than because there were any wholesale changes between the 1 and the 2.

Likely that and also to use up GC I parts inventory. The GC II was produced only three years (('74 to '76). I honestly can't say if I've ever seen one. Also, and in conflict with what Glenn said, the Brunswick GC comparison document describes the GCII plastic skirting as "white corner apron wings".

They were white on the 1's and 2's, and we're used to hide the drop pockets and ball returns. That feature was dropped on the 3's because the rail blinds were built longer to hide the pockets and ball returns.
