Mark "the Snake" Jones. Jones has been invited to four World Wheelchair 9-Ball championships, most recently this past December 2013 in South Africa. But 40 years ago, after a life-changing car accident, Jones' future seemed bleak and he considered ending his life.

They were unable to break the world record, however, they were still able to donate almost $4,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) is pleased to announce its 26th Annual Junior National 9-Ball Championships to be held June 24-27, 2014 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY. This year's event will be hosted alongside the Summit 2014 (also known as the Billiard Congress of America Expo).

March 15, long time comedienne and 'Tonight Show' mainstay David Brenner died of cancer at the age of 78.
One of Brenner's legacies that will last beyond the grave was his love of billiards. In 1989, David Brenner co-founded Amsterdam Billiards with Greg and Ethan Hunt, which went on to set the tone for the renaissance of billiard popularity on the East Coast.

One of the great things about billiards is its transcontinental pantheon of all-stars: Efren Reyes (Philippines), Earl Strickland (US), Pankaj Advani (India), Thorsten Hohmann (Germany), Ronnie O'Sullivan (United Kingdom), Mika Immonen (Finland), and many more8Ball Silver Screen logo.
One country, however, that receives little mention is Costa Rica. Perhaps, that is a grave oversight. That was the conclusion of R.A. "Jake" Dyer, the preeminent pool historian and author, who documented in the early '90s his personal quest to make a movie about Luis "Pichitas" Calderon, the "best hustler, the best pool player in the world."
