David Broxon
Jimmy Wales (is he still playing?)
Stoney Stone (maybe moved to Jacksonville?)
Clint McCollum
Monica Webb
Helena Thornfeldt

Played against Butler and saw him in an exhibition match with Archer. Archer was more impressive to me, but nonetheless, Butler is a very strong player.

Paul Song (I think is the guy's name) used to work at The Pool House... is another tough shooter.

No... I don't think so... it was a skinny asian-american guy that shot lights-out 9-ball... he worked the front desk during the year I was in Atlanta and may have moved on (graduated) or something. It was... July 2001 to July 2002 and he was there the whole time. Paul Song...

yes paul song still plays and lives here. he is a great shooter also.

Clint McCullough is a great player also. he played in the ipt qualification tournament at dcc. i heard he lost one of his matches because his shirt hit
and moved a ball.

According to Dictionary.com, a site I highly recommend that is one of the very best on the internet, Georgia is:

"a country in the Caucasus on the Black Sea...acquired by Russia between 1801 and 1829. The region was briefly independent (1918-1921), but was invaded by the Red Army in 1921 and proclaimed a Soviet republic. It was joined with Armenia and Azerbaijan to form the Transcaucasian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic from 1922 to 1936, when it became a separate republic, known as the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic until declaring its independence in 1991..."

I am truly surprised that all these wondeful players indicated are from Georgia.

I was looking at a tape with a guy Name Robert Guest thay say he was from Ga .
And Paul Song
Plays Jam up pool The best sleeper in Ga ..Never count him out in matches ...
He locked up James Waldon in some 1 pocket ..
how strong is that ..

As far as Georgia -born players....i would say they go in this order:

1) Johnny Archer
2) Bruce Berrong
3) Jimmy Whales
4) Lenny and Richie Semansky

There are alot of other players that play very well also such as Paul Song, Brian Tyler and more, but these are the top few in my opinion.

Southpaw

Well Broxson, Stoney, and Cliff don't live in Georgia. Unless Cliff has moved back. Jimmy Wale doesn't play anymore. I heard that he has straightened his life out though. Here is my top 5.

1) Johnny Archer
2) Stevie Moore
3) Bruce Berrong
4) Mark Gregory
5) Clent McCollough

Also, there is Paul Turner, Paul Song, Rod Rentz (if he's still playing), Brian Butler, Jim Jennings, Brian Tyler, and Doug Young (not sure when he'll leave though lol).

Mike,

If it does hurt his "road" action, he'll just have to turn pro I guess. lol
Are you coming to Atlanta for the IPT qualifier? I bought a new house and I'm closing on it the 27th so I'll be moving that weekend, but I'm going to try and make it down that way. It's been way too long since I've gotten beligerant at a pool tournament.

Not sure yet. There's a Viking Event in Greenville the same weekend. I'll either play in it, or come down and watch the qualifier. Have fun. Don't get Moore too drunk if he decides to play the qualifier.

lol @ doug young leaving again

well cliff was at cues mon. night
Well I matched up with Cliff about a month ago at Cues. I guess if he has came back down here again from the Derby City Classic than he is probably staying with someone. I believe he used to live in Columbus Georgia a while back, but I'm not sure about that one.

Is Mark Gregory still living in GA?
and
There used to be a guy that played pretty good near Hinesville(i think). I believe he was a teacher. Ever heard of the guy or if he still plays.

I like your list. Its got most of the big dogs. Have to add David Broxson though. He is playing very well right now.
