Getting a Gabriel

I'm looking at getting a Gabriel Signature Pro 9' table. Does anyone know what size the frame is on these things and how much they weigh? Is it bigger than the 50X100 playing surface. I'm not sure if I can get it down into my basement.

Where are you buying it from and/or who is installing it? All these questions can be answered by either the dealer and/or table mechanic installing it.

If you are in the USA I believe Diamond are now the exclusive dealer for Gabriel's tables. (Assuming this is new, not second hand that is.)

Hi Shooter, The outside dimensions will be approximately 64" x 114" on that table.
Great table BTW. But make sure you have enough room or you will be very disappointed.

inside playing surface on all 9 footers is 100x50

For Gabriel information, you need to contact Diamond Billiards, the exclusive distributor in the US. Call 812-288-7665 (ask for Paul) or talk to him at the BCA National 8-Ball Championships at the Riviera May 12-20.

I saw a used one in MN for sale a couple weeks ago for $3K, did you snag that one or did you go brand new?

Yeah I'm going to look at it. I'm gonna buy it if I can get it down the stairs

Alright I talked to an installer and he said that the frame will come apart. So I'm getting a GABRIEL sweeeeeeeeeeeet :D :D :D :D :D :D :D. If I only had 6 more inches in the basement it would be perfect. Perfect fit for my 8 footer right now with no obstructions. But I need a 9 footer. I don't care if I have to use a shorty or jack up a little.

Congrats! I wish our basement was bigger too. A 9-footer would be nice to shoot on after school. ;)

I think your best bet is contact Diamond, explain to them your situation and see what they could recommend. I havent worked on any Gabriels but would love to just to say I have. I really like the design and I hear the playability is uncomparable.

If the table is constructed like any other "Pro" table the frame will come apart so I wouldnt worry. The rail assembly can be broken down by the looks of it. The longest piece will be the side rail which is close to the OD listed above. The slate will be heavy 1 1/8 or so? Good luck with the table. Thats a great price...

How is it constructed? Or what is it compared to(other mfg.)? What holds it together or keeping it from coming apart?

The whole frame is welded together? Nevermind I take that back I don't want to work on one. :)

Carry on!

I've got one in my basement. The frame does not come apart. The piece that does not come apart is a steel rectangle with dimensions about like the playing surface: 50 X 98 or so. It's about 4 inches thick. If you can swing it, the table is awesome.

Well I guess I'll find out for sure tomorrow. If it doesn't come apart it still might fit. I might have to make a mock up out of card board to test it out. Sounds like there might be two different models, one that comes apart and one that doesn't.

I got this back in an email from Diamond-

Thank you for inquiry regarding the Gabriels Signature Pro Pool Table. The frame for this table completely disassembles into smaller components. Normally, there are no issues as far as getting it down a staircase. Feel free to call me and discuss your requirements.

Trust me on this one... When all the building we're sitting in are long gone and the rocky mountains are rounded smooth, my Gabriels frame will still be there --in one piece. In fact I think the whole table can survive a nuclear attack just fine...

comments Joe Marra?

Has there been a construction change?

I carried a old Brunswick 5x10 with 1-1/2 slate down a narrow staircase
< 3' wide that dead ended on a small landing requiring a right turn at the bottom of the stairs.

Gravity does the work. Getting it out was the real job. I assume the
frame on the Gabriel comes apart.

It can be done. Great table.

Mike, unless they have changed their construction the frame is in one piece like yours. The option used to be that they cut the frame down the middle, then pin it and bolt it back togather.
