Getting a new table

Well, I'm planning to get a table sometime around end of April/early May. I'll be placing it in the garage. I'm hoping to keep everything below $2,000 (table+delivery+set up). Any suggestions on which table to get? I would like to get a GC or a diamond, but I'm not sure I can get one with my budget. 2nd hand is fine. Or would it be better to buy a brand new lesser-known table? Also, would you know someone selling that table? Thanks.

I got my table off craigslist. There are alway many tables listed in my area. Maybe not GC or Diamonds, but usually Olhausen, Brunswick, Connelly, etc.

I ended up with a Connelly Sahuaro, delivered, set-up, and covered in Championship Valley Teflon Ultra (though I wish I went with Tour Edition or Simonis), for about $900.

Hey man, I'll tell you from my perspective.. I would go with a Diamond, no matter what it takes. That is, if you are a serious player, and are planning on getting deeper into the game, and competing against good players.

Take out a loan, and use all your winnings to pay off the table. Depending on if you have action in your area, if you plan things properly, you can pay off a Diamond table within a year. Just something to think about.

well, I am a serious player, but as of now, I'm pretty low on the food chain. So I actually avoid action at this time. Will try to look around craigslist, hopefully I can find a diamond table in there.

If you ever go to Hardtimes just ask them if Steve the table mechanic is in
and they will point you in the right direction.

Good luck finindg a table.

Were the tables in Victorville sold already?

I know where a few GC IVs are but the guy wants 3k min for a table.
IMO you can find better than that but with a GC III.

I wouldn't settle for anything less than what you really want. It will be worth the extra money, since this is something you will have around for a long time (hopefully).
