Getting a shaft fitted...

Can someone tell me a price rang for getting a shaft mated perfectly to a cue?

I have an Audrick Custom that I got off of Ebay for about $150, then I got a Predator 314 2nd gen for it, the pin size for the cue is 5/16x18 as is the shaft thread size...

It screws together fine and seems to be a nice tight fit, but there is about a mm or two difference between the butt diameter and shaft diameter...

Ill try and make a little diagram to explain better if possible

all in all I put close to $400 into this cue, and would prefer not to spend more on it, and maybe this is typical, and nothing needs to be done...It seems to play fine from what i can tell...It just bothers me that it isnt flush

This would be an arial view of the cue put together....

Hope it helps make more sense of what Im trying to say

Royce of OB-1 will make you a matching OB-1 for around $175. Give him a call!

I charge $45 to match an aftermarket shaft. That includes matching ringwork. It is a problem, however, when the shaft collar diameter is smaller than the butt collar diameter. You end up with a "bell" effect.

If it doesn't bother you too much, leave it alone. It will not affect the playablity or balance.

Thanks for the advice, if I can rid myself of the 314 and get enough from resale then Ill consider one, Ive actually just started looking into them and are very interested in OB-1
