Getting into CNC

I have been researching Gecko drives and steppers to transform my Hightower inlay into CNC. I haven't checked the bearings on it for rigidity yet but I think it should work out fairly well. I just have to put the framework on 35" slides and I can profile with it also.

The Gecko G540 is an excellent drive. I have several of them, and they work very well with the Gecko steppers and a 48v power supply.

I also happen to like the Smooth Stepper ESS, but that's a whole other can of worms!
