Must have been a year ago on this board that I temporarily lost my good judgement after many of Fast Larry's prolific diatribes and made two suggestions to him:

1. Eric wasn't a bad guy. I had met him in Las Veags at the BCA tourney.

2. Perhaps Fast Larry should acknowledge that he has largely brought his troubles upon himself.

Well that set him off on another of his rants and Mike Howerton finally deleted the entire thread.

If that is Fast Larry over at RSB, then his dementia is progressing at an alarming pace.

Oh, just for the record, I'm not Yappin Wolf or any of those other anonymous posters. I don't make anonymous posts.

It's sad that someone that depends on the game for his living, (which I was under the impression he does), would stoop to the level he's displayed over at RSB, and I guess over here also. What a shame and a waste of apparent talent.

Calif and who took a lesson from Scott Lee a few yrs ago no one has any business bad mouthing him. Scott, for whom I have a tremendous amount of respect, spoke extremely highly of the time he spent with Dave. Is there a club out there who's sole purpose is to create bad feelings, lie and slander and do everything in their power drive people from the site? I remember a few yrs ago I had been out of town for awhile and got into BD when I got back, only to find out that the board had been taken over by a bunch of retarded flamethrowers. A board full of intelligent pool lovers who did not mind sharing their knowledge. I learned so much!!! It was sickening to tihnk of what it had become and what had been lost. Thank you for your kind words. Yep, I'm the same guy. My wife and I lived in San Rafael, CA for a couple of years and then moved down to Santa Clarita. We were there about 10 years. Scott came over to my place. We had steaks on the barbecue out by the pool and then a great session on my table. I retired a little over two years ago and moved to Victoria.

One of the problems with NGs like rsb is nobody owns them, there is no moderator to run him off. If everybody would ignore him and respond to none of his post or filter all his incarnations like I do, he would soon grow bored and go away. Unfortunately, there are some people who can't resist a flame war with a troll so he may stay around a long time ruining what at times is a very fine NG.

Unfortunately it seems to be the scum of the earth who has access to computers and newsgroups. They apparently get their sociopathic fetishes satisfied by being complete and utter jerkoffs.

RSB has been under attack for several years by a few posters. What they did is worse than Fast Larry. At least with Fast Larry his brand of grieifing can be easily recognized and his identities blocked. The other ones who have a modicum of cedibility are not so easily removed.

I like the ease of use in RSB better than all of the web based boards but there is no comparison when it comes to the climate. Both of the major boards are like a fresh waterfall in a pristine stream compared to the stagnant muck that RSB has become. I am afraid that I probably contributed to it. :-(

Hiya Dave,

I enjoyed meeting you in Vegas and had the same opinion of you too.

I got emails too regarding Fast Larry and his paranoid/schizo rants. Like you, I can't be bothered getting involved with his soap opera life but I'm not too sure how I'll react the next time I see him in person. I'm sure I won't be as calm as I was last time.

Sounds like the rsb crap is growing. I signed off a couple of weeks ago after watching it grow in bs for the last half year or so. What finally drove me away was a couple of regular bickering posters starting to argue about electrical units (current, voltage, etc) in a thread. That finally convinced this Electrical Engineer that the rsb forum was not for me anymore ... maybe in 2005 or 2006 it will be time to check back, but this AZBilliards forum will do just fine for now ... Before you pass judgment on someone like that you should go do a google search on the other guy and see what "abhorrent" comments he has made in the past to lead up what was said to him.
I think it might open your eyes a bit and possably you would see that it was not as one sided as you think.

Neither one of those two can be called a Saint as they both have said some very low down dirty rotten and down right insultive things to one another.
I would find it hard to call one any worse than the other.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that too much. This is a moderated forum and a very different place from rsb. RSB is a street fight, it was just that the fight turned into a riot for a while. It will now return to a street fight. In the event that the same kind of behaviour surfaces here AZ will continue to bounce people who exceed the limits expected here. People who dislike each other will just avoid and ignore each other as Willie and Smorg seemed to have agreed to do.

Really this war between FL and that other persona has been going on for a year. It went on on playpool, here on AZ. When FL was kicked off the forums, that persona was pretty much quiet except for one vicious attack on Fran crimi's new book on playpool. When fl got on rsb, those two were at it again.

I have ip traced lots of these aliases that appear to be this same persona, but I do not name names. That persona has posted physical addresses primarily of FL, but me also.I refuse to stoop to that level,posting addresses of those I might suspect. It is not important to me anyway, it is a huge sick joke.Why get down in the mud with anyone? The principal difference is that I consider that persona to be laughable where FL takes this very seriously. That is why you are now seeing all of this fighting, flaming and the posting, again of adresses by both FL and the other persona, once called yappingwolf or a yappingwolf copy cat.

I have tried playing some one pocket on a dozen occasions lately, but to no avail. I'm currently taking a medicine called Amiodarone (for rapid heartbeat- Tachycardia) that makes one (ME) light headed and dizzy and also causes 'halos' and 'blurry vision' (AND, possibly permanent blindness). To top it off, you can't go out in the Sun while taking this (try staying out of the sun in FLORIDA).

Gosh, Doug, that sounds like awful medication. Beyond scary. Seems like their are some safer ones, or have you tried them.

If it were me, I would be tempted to look ino meditation, biofeedback and hypnosis. Those things cannot hurt you.

Why do you have such a rapid heartbeat? My father had one. When it went up, it was over 150.

Don't bet all of your money on that or you'll be broke! In time, they'll be getting pulled into each other like two super powerful electromagnets and there's nothing that's going to stop it. If not them, it'll be others. The history is too long and it's inevitable. Smorg did come up with a good idea and that was for Willee to post on CCB or Billiard's Digest. I would also suggest InsidePool or anywhere where they're far enough from the black hole gravitational pull that's going to suck them right up into a singular mass once again.
