getting the "feel" of my Jensen from my Moore

hello all, this is my first post to this forum and I'm pretty green to billiard terminology. so please bear with me here. I have two cues:
First one is a Jensen that I bought from Mike back in 1989. It is one of his basic player models from that era (all birdseye with a rosewood ring in the butt and a synthetic joint with wood inlays) it also has a shaft that is really small in diameter with a Westinghouse ferrule and ? tip.
My other cue is a Moore that Mark made for me in 1998 in Mississippi. It is either cocobolo or rosewood with ebony points and a synthetic joint with a single silver ring. The shaft has a larger diameter and is much more comfortable to me. It has ? ferrule with ? tip.
Okay now for the $1,000,000 question. I like the way the Moore plays and it feels really solid but "soft" or dampened when it hits. very solid thump sound at impact. almost like something is taking out the high frequency vibration or some of the feedback. The Jensen on the other hand gives me alot more feedback if that makes sense. I can really feel wood vibrating and flexing at impact and it sounds totally different. Much more of the high frequency tone at impact.
So, is it the tip and ferrule combination? Is it the joint material? Shaft diameter? I want the Moore to feel and sound like the Jensen. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Could also be the wood or the wrap. I have a Jensen that I use as my main playing cue. Mike also makes his own tips but I doubt that yours is still the original.

Mike makes a great cue that does have a good feel and sound. I have had two players tell me that my cue makes a different sound than other cues. I guess they hear it when there is a lull in the jukebox.

A lot of factors are involved.

thanks book, how's this?

any others with some insite? i forgot to mention in my first post that I believe it is directly related to the shaft, ferrule, tip because when I interchange the shafts on the two butts I get similar results. should I just get Mike to make me another shaft with a bigger diameter? What are my chances of him having the same ferrule material?

many jENSEN CUES use the MILKDUD tip which is a VERY hard compressed tip which is treated. I think you need to put the SAME tip (size, type shape etc) on both cues and then evaluate the hit.
