Yes Gilbertcues.com is the right place, and Jeff Hoeksma is the guy to contact. Either give him a call or email him.

Sometimes it takes a bit before he gets back to you, but he will. Or just call him back.

Or just call Andy directly. He's a hell of a nice guy to talk to and if you have questions about the design of a cue why would you want to go through a middleman and risk getting it screwed up. I have a friend who placed an order through a dealer at the beginning of the year, and through maybe no fault of the dealer's, the cues have still not arrived. He has been told for 2 months that they will be there in 2 weeks. I went through Andy directly and I had much better results. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes but direct contact between the cuemaker and the customer works out best IMO.

Just a question. Do you go through a middleman when ordering a Hercek, SW, White, Mottey or....... hell even Dale Perry?

I prefer to talk to the person that I am paying to do the job.

I have also had a cue ordered from Andy through Jeff for some time. I am well past the promised date but that is nothing new with cuemakers. I have over 50% already paid down. I did not know that there was an option to deal with Andy directly, from what I was told, Andy did not want to deal directly with the customer because he is so busy.
The Gilbert site is very poor and unmaintained but the cues are well worth the wait and price. I have nothing against Jeff or Andy, I am just looking forward to getting my cue.. I would rather have the cue as I ordered it than get it "on time".
I have owned several of Andy's cues in the past and the work on all of them is A++++. I would recommend Gilbert cues above most that I have owned..

Enough babbling,

Joe

I completely agree with Joe. Ugly site but love the Gilbert cues. Jeff was always helpful and prompt in our dealings. Don't judge a book by it's website!:)

Hey Joe, Is your middle eye your dominant shooting eye? ? lol

Aaaawww!!

K Town D called me a friend. I have been waiting for some time but I would be willing to wait another 6 mos. for the cues I'm having made. I love Mr. Gilbert's work and I'm just very excited.

The only issue I've had was the expectation dates. I would not have sold my jump / break if I had known it would be an additional 1-2 mos.

I have made a deal to sell my playing cue this evening. If I do not receive my cues soon I'll really be out of luck.

Last time I had talked to my contact (not sure if it's the Jeff mentioned above as mine has a different last name) He said Mid July. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If Sean from Cueaddicts has any info I would love to hear from him.

******This should make no difference to the Cuemaker and would not expect them to "rush" anything.
I want my cues to be perfect but I have been paid in full since march

Hello everone Andy Gilbert does not have a web site >the gilbertcue.com site is a dealer ..Andy is very backed up at the moment but he will take a order and he'll tell u or Vicky will tell ya that it will be sometime be for can get your q ..i order my cue back in march and i hope to get it by thanksgiven do to the waitin list ..i have to hold on plus i keep addin things to the cue .Hay it for my little girl and i will not cut a corner to make the more beautiful cue in the world by who i fee is one of the best q makers in it..

Gilbertcues.com site is Jeff Hoeksema's website. He has been a dealer of Andy's for a long time in Michigan, and his site has not been updated in a long, long time. Andy and Vickie are in Clever, MO, right outside of Springfield. The cues shown on gilbertcues.com are representative of Andy's plainer stuff from 3-4 years ago. For a wide variety of his work, you can view pics on our site (cueaddicts.com), Troy's (onthehill.net), or cuegirl's aka Bill Grassely (cornerstonecustomcues.com).

You can order a new cue directly from Andy, through Jeff Hoeksema, or us as Eagleshot has done. It's true that Andy has been real busy this year. He's probably got 50 orders for custom playing cues on hand right now....the most ever. And although he might be exceeding the quoted wait times a little, it pales in comparison to that of many other cuemakers. For most designs, he can usually can get it out within 6 months or so.

For all who may be waiting, trust me, it'll be worth your wait !! His work is still the best bargain in custom cues and as 'hand-made' as it gets.

Sean
