Just curious if anyone knows how to break them down. Here is copy of my Ginacue. Model # 05-1-879..... I can figure out that the 05 is for 2005, but what does the 1 stand for and the 879 stand for. Any help would be great, Thank You...............................

I'm surprised nobody reply to you in such a long time. First two numbers represent the year the cue was started, so when it enters production. Then you should have an "I" or an "S" for Ivory and respectively for SS joints. The last 3 numbers represent a serial number. So actually the hole "thing" is the serial number. Ginacue model numbers should look like 12A, 13E, 11D, 14C or something of that nature, but this is not marked anywhere on the cue. Sometimes Ernie's cues even have names like "Black Sabbath" or "Rasputin".

Good Luck

Interesting.

I ordered a cue in Feb of 06. Got it in July of 06. It is a model 18A with a leather wrap and a ivory joint. The number is 05-I-962.

I guess the cue was started before I ordered it.
