This is a follow up to a previous post asking for input on a High-end raffle.
The cue I am considering selling/raffling, I haven't made up my mind yet but I have a new Gina coming in about a week, is my 3 month old Gina.
It is, for now at least, very much a one of one cue. That is to say, not only is the shaft work unique but several element in the butt are also new. The "butterflies" between the points aren't new other than the colors, but I have never seen a Gina with ivory points and the butterflies in-between where the material below the butterflies isn't also ivory. I felt that made the points less defined unlike this cue which has the impregnated blue wood under them, clearly defining the ivory points. The double opposed butterflies in the butt between the windows is also something Ernie has never done before.
Anyway, I know I would get offers from collectors but thought a raffle might give someone who otherwise might not be able to own a cue like this a chance.
The cue is approx. 19.75 oz, 3 13mm shafts - two with inlays, one "players" shaft, Elephant trunk wrap. Everything white is pre-ban ivory. Only the players shaft has ever been chalked or hit.
Here are a few pics, if I choose to sell or raffle it here I will take some better pics.
Do you think there would be enough interest in a raffle, and if so at what price point per "ticket"?
Thanks,
Joe
