Gloves - Strictly Personal Preference or Check Materials etc....

I was never a Sir Joseph fan. Never liked the fit. After watching Thorston Hohmann play I figured I would try a Kamui glove and damn if I didn't love it. Fit was great and the feel was better than I expected.

Ok so I'm a normal size guy.....not small like a munchkin and not an ogre either.....so what size kamui glove is recommended( s,m,l) as I won't be able to try them on before hand.

Thanks

Draw your hand out on a piece of paper, then measure it at it's widest point. If you are Slightly bigger than 3 inches or smaller. You need a small. If you are close to 4 or bigger. Get a large.

I go for the cheapest available. Here's an example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-x-Pair-of...575075?hash=item1eb7514363:g:RTwAAOSwHnFVpMdv

This example costs 60 cents apiece. That makes them disposable. I throw one away about once a month.

LOL wow... so you think there isnt much "quality" difference between these and the kamui? Like big stitching getting in the way of your contact points etc? That would drive me nuts. Otherwise yea I dont care much either and for me I dont think durability will even be an issue since I play once a week for couple hours.

Are those a name brands, meaning they are not "cheap" so making sure they are worth more than say, Fats ebay listing up there LOL.

Thanks, that helps....

And of you guys play golf? Would pool gloves be comparable in size, or is every brand different and I need to try it to make sure? I wear a medium to medium cadet in golf.

Thanks bud. I'm right in the middle so I decided on a medium.

It's been about ten years since I used a glove, but yesterday I bought a Kamui glove played with it and I like it just need to get ust to it. But when I got home I decided to cut off the velcro strap and cut the finger sleeves a little shorter and now like it much more.

Sometimes (such as high humidity), the cue shaft to glove friction is a little higher than normal. And an older, worn, dirtier glove has increased friction.
I've found an economical product that I like, and provides consistent long-lasting low friction between the cue and glove. It is the SprayOn brand food grade DRY silicone spray. I spray it onto a paper towel, then rub the cue shaft with the paper towel. I also spray it on my glove.

I purchase it through on-line Walmart.
The spray can propellant is propane which dissipates very quickly (and is very flammable).
Uses - "An excellent lubricant on plastic, fiber gears, extruded parts, wood-to-wood sliding applications and on rubber" according to the manufacturer.

As a bonus, you can use the spray to lubricate your kitchen drawers!
