Going from 11.75 to 11.1 tip

I currently play a tiger shaft with 11.75 mm tip and have my eye on a cue that comes with 2 shafts, both of which have 11.1 mm tip. Would there be a lot of difference in how the shafts played due to the difference in tip size?

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Are they the same tiger shafts that are trimmed down to 11.1mm? There's alot more that goes into how a shaft plays than tip diameter. The taper is very important. There are many things to consider. Do you have the opportunity to hit with the cue you are thinking about purchasing? That's the best way to tell.

Randy; I ran into the same problem when I purchased a cue here.. I shot with a Pred. Z2 which is also the same tip size as your tiger 11.75.. I also dropped down to a 11.2 and 11.4 shafts that came with the cue and have had no problem with the swap after switching to my preferred tips and getting use to the cue a few months.. In my mind I really wanted the cue so I figured if I couldn't get comfortable with the shafts I would have a Z2 fitted to the new cue... I still have no problem going to the Z2 shaft and still use the Z2 in beer joints on a cheap butt.. This has just been my experience and everyone is different but I wish you good luck and hope this helps a little... The Dster.

I would suggest if you want to go that low with tip size than go for a normal shaft and not a low deflection shaft
