Hello folks,
I will be heading to Chicago next week (Jun15/Jun20th) and will be staying in Lincolnshire.
I am not taking any cues with me but would love to play around in the area.
I will have a car so going to a nicer further away place and even be able to meet some Az'ers would be a pleasure.
I am going to try meeting Bobby Hunter and Joe Gold in person and chat with Darrin Hill if I can find some time.
Any suggestions are welcome :D
 
I have a non pool playing cousin visiting next week or I'd say stop by Chris's Wednesday weekly tournament. For a $10 round robin 8 ball race to two with two groups of 6-8, it's the best value in pool. 1 hour warm up starts at 7:00pm, tournament starts at 8. Usually lasts till 11:00. Good players from all walks.

There are much nicer places around that might be closer to Lincolnshire. Be careful of those suburban cops when driving.

From the Lincolnshire area, I'd recommend a quick trip south on 94/294 to Des Plaines and Chris' II Billiards. Nice place, and from the other thread going on here, I believe Santos Sambajon has been around there.

Little further down 294 and you're right close to Chris' on Milwaukee.
 
I live in Vernon Hills, next door to Lincolnshire. If you take Rt 45 north to Rt 120, about 30 minutes from Lincolnshire, you'll find On Cue billiards. Pretty nice room, around 18 9 foot Gabriels, many recently recovered, and a snooker table if you're so inclined. You can find cuemaker Jon Spitz there often. If you like league play there's a BCA 8-Ball league on Thursdays, and I think there's a straight pool league on Saturdays; it's pretty easy to sub in for missing players. Only drawback to this place for you is that the house cues aren't very good; you may have to sweet talk one of the locals into lending you a better cue for the evening. I'm always up for a game, so if you think you'd like a game pm me and I'll give you my contact info.

I live in the south suburbs, but I am a Limo driver so I end up around the airport and play at Chris' II quite a bit. Red Shoes billiards in Alsip is a good money room, and Pro Tyme in Orland Park is a nice room in Orland Park if you happen to go south.

PM me if you want to meet and play at Chris' II or need a Limo from the airport (or into the city for a night out for that matter).

I will be renting a car but I would love to play a couple of racks with you a buy you a beer! 209-482-7768 is my cell. I will arrive on Sunday and leave friday the 20th.

Don't play anyone sporting a beard just to play it safe. philw
 
The bearded guy knows what he's doing.

He's seen me, and I've seen him. That's how I like it.
