Going undefeated in your league?

I just wanted to get a feel for how rare or not it is to go undefeated in your league. I am 10 for 10 as of last week in my APA league and I just wanted to know if this is common or not.

In our APA League, after 11 weeks this session, there is one player undefeated, and that is only 4 matches. One player, out of 90 in our league. There are several that have only one loss, but only one undefeated.

If that helps you get any perspective, sure seems like you're doing quite well.

Just wondering what you're playing, what your handicap is, and do you know your top gun score? I'm currently at 1 loss for 10 matches. I don't think I've ever had a better streak.

i've done it a few times in the apa. right now i am undefeated in a 9 ball division with about 6 matches out of a possible 10 to play - still have a feww weeks to go. in one 8 ball division i have 7 wins no losses with about the same possible to play. i have gone 8-0, 10-0 and 11-0 before. my sl goes between 5 and 6 in 9 ball and i'm a 5 in 8 ball. i play mostly between 4's and 9's with the most matches being played played between 4's and 6's. in the bca division i play in i have never done better than 50%. the level of competition in bca is just tougher. much more of a coin flip.

Haha, already answered my question. Congrats. I'm only at 45 points for top gun.

I am a 6 in APA 8-ball, with 54 points on top gun!

He's a strong 3 but a weaker 4 I would say. He has his moments where he shoots pretty good but others where he misses everything and has a 15 inning match! He went 2 for 9 last session so I think he is just having a good session.

That's cool man, nothing wrong with being proud of a good streak, KEEP IT GOING!

The leagues I usually play in don't score that way, although I just joined a BCA league that does. For most of them though, each game is a point. My record was a 15 game winning streak with a pretty weak field, but it was still fun to see how long I could keep it going. It ended when I kicked in an 8 on my second shot on a wide open table :banghead:.

There are no undefeated players in my league (well my division, perhaps in one of the lower divisions) this year.

Ouch, WOWzer... Mind if I borrow your towel sir? I seem to have some of your spit in my face.

There is really no pride to be taken from such a laughable achievement. It's only the APA afterall. lol @ Being proud of myself. Dunno what I was thinking.

Nothing wrong with being happy about your accomplishments in any league, APA or otherwise.. Good job Dawg!

I guess I should have elaborated more instead of coming off like a snob. There are 105 players in our 8ball league and 3 sevens including me. (really 2 since one guy keeps going up and down). I could probably give the 7/8 to both the 7s and heist them. Its very difficult for APA 5s to beat a decent 7 in 8ball imo. Some of the APA 3s and 4s I feel like they might lose 50 games in a row to a decent 7. So thats why I feel stupid bragging about it. Ive been clubbing baby seals, hardly something to pound my chest about and say hey look at me.

Sorry if you took it to mean that I thought that having an undefeated record in APA for others is not an achievement because it is. The very fact that there might be 600 players in the Miami Dade County league and three are undefeated speaks of how rare it is.

This is the best i could do. Not all my tables runs runs were reported. 100 wins 16 losses
