Pics don't show the ebony's striping/figure.
Stabilized mango with all it's glory including mineral streaks .
Not an easy wood to grain-fill . Even after it's stabilized.
Mango has been here for years. Tortured in the attic during summers too.

Great woods there, love the figure of the curly streaks in the mango wood.

Just curious, why do most cuemakers prefer to put the ebony on the handle since most cm cores their ebony so balance n weight shldnt be a big issue after coring.

Is it solely for balance n weight purpose ? Or do u just prefer it looking this way ?

Personally for me, i prefer the looks of a great bright coloured wood on the handle with jet black ebony being on the forearm n buttsleeve on a wrapless plain jane.
I feel it gives a more contrasting n appetizing appearance, but of course its subjective.

Great looking cue nonetheless n thx for sharing !

I think it's just because ebony can be plane looking.
Specially the gaboon.
My most requested cue now is kamagong/macassar ebony forearm with some figured handle.
I'm making two now with curly bubinga handle.

Very nice, Joey!
You can certainly see Kerry's influence in your cues.

Thanks.
Almost the same look but a little different hit.
Kerry did not think any cue can hit too hard.
Some combos just hit too hard imo.
And with the shafts I use, I rarely use capped hard ferrules like Ivor-X because they just hit way too hard, I think.
He had no problems with purpleheart and bocote combo with hard ferrules.
He played with very hard and heavy cues.
