"Gold Crown" Ball Polisher...FINISHED!

Mass Production? You could make money on this one. Get the material supply chain worked out and market them. All prototypes require a lot of work and refinement. But once you get an assembly line going, it mostly supply chain and quality control.

Wouldn't mind having one myself! Excellent work.

Beautiful, great job, love the old school design.
Do you know if the carpet is Wool ,Poly, Triexta/Smartstrand?

That polisher appears to be extremely well done. Congrats on the hard work.
It reminds me of the member here who made a matching pool table light to his Brunswick Anniversary or Centennial (can't recall), table.
Fantastic job!

Thanks. It is well built. Check out the build thread.

I've built (2) custom lights as well.

The only thing, for me, is the 8 balls vs 16. I have an ugly Bludworth machine but it does 16 balls at once. That's the only thing I'd like to see different for a mass produced "Brunswick" ball machine.

I would love to see such elegance available to the rest of us unskilled masses. Sadly, even if that were desired, there are probably all kinds of legal issues with Diamond in trying to profit on their basic design.

What COULD happen though, is Diamond could offer an "upgraded" model with higher styling. Unfortunately, based on their current offering, a style upgrade to their line would probably be quite a bit out of the price range of most players.

Only able to do 8 balls at a time may not be a deal breaker for a home table consumer, but for a poolroom with 10+ tables, it’s not feasible.

Not to mention that Brunswick is Diamond's competitor. Seems awkward, like putting a McDonald's meal in a Burger King bag.

AFAIK, Diamond doesn't hold a patent on the design or the engineering that goes into it.

I think their polisher suits their tables.

Spot on. A home consumer would be targeting form and function where a proprietor would primarily be concerned with function.

I hear you. I could have made a 16 ball unit but for me, the 8 ball version is big enough because I'm space challenged in my room. A 16 ball version would have been a challenge to fit under the table and I would have had to sacrifice a bridge holder to do so.

You're inspiring me to upgrade my Diamond 8 cleaner's finish. Would sand, stain, lacquer. Currently it's a crudely finished functional black box. Fashion/originality matters.
