Can anyone tell me (who) during those earlier years as Brunswick was evolving and their tables kept getting better, became a factor in the final design of the Gold Crown I ? I have always wondered if Mosconi's imput or some of the other top depression era pros sponsored by Brunswick gave feedback and caused its form.

Mosconi was with Brunswick from 1931-1934, mostly doing exhibitions. Far as I can tell, he had nothing to do with the Gold Crown design, which commenced in 1958 and the first Gold Crown was retailed in 1961. Darn good question and I'm gonna keep digging until I get a name, cause that person should have some major props for designing a masterpiece.

> My best guess is Leonardo da Vinci, the same day he drew the blueprint of the helicopter. Seriously,I'd like to know too, because whoever it was deserves a HOF nod for Meritorious Service, they only designed the best playing table ever made 40 years ago. In my opinion, and you'll probably get a lot of support to this, you still can't buy a better table than a GC-I,period. If they were made to the same standards and with the same quality of materials, the GC-IV would be perfect. Tommy D.
